Lady of the Glen

Asleep in the mist
Peaceful and tranquil
Lays the Lady of the Glen
'Neath the never-ending blue
Stars and planets look down upon her
White gown of spider's silken weave
Atop soft moss she lays
Surrounded by flowers wild
Man walks passed each day
Never realizing what they pass
They let her sleep
But not from respect
Rather through ignorance
As they rot the Earth
So too they do to Lady of the Glen
When she is gone
Man reaps the consequence
Yet still wonder not what they have done
Instead why their Heavens deigned not fix what they squandered
