Red Rivers

Blood spattered the wall
Sparkling wet rivulets on the floor

Rushing
Sliding
Gushing

Down the dip in the tiling
Swallowed by the thirsty drain

Whirring
Buzzing
Squelching

Through sinew and bone
As the autopsy resumes
